Scope of Appointment

As a Medicare Enrollment Advisor, I am legally required to keep the focus of discussion with clients on Medicare related topics only.

I will provide answers to your questions about Medicare Plans, compare your current plan with other plans available in your service area, provide you Quotes – and help you understand recent changes to Medicare benefits and how those impact you.

However, before any discussion can begin –

The Federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) says Agents must have specific permission to discuss your Medicare Plan benefits, coverage’s, deductibles, co-pays and some ‘limited’ personal health information.

Note: General questions about Medicare that do not involve your personal or plan specific details, does not require permission to discuss.

Medicare Beneficiaries provide permission by recorded phone approval, electronic approval or a paper approval.

The form is called “Scope of Appointment”
Every Medicare agent must establish your Scope of Appointment in order to discuss the benefits and costs of Medicare Plans with you.

If it seems like all of this is too much, call us or contact us by clicking on the ‘Quote’ link above. We will walk you through the permission process and get started on determining your best options for a Medicare Plan in 2020.

Even If that means you stay with what you have this year, then you will be confident in making the best choice … for you!

Finally, if you prefer to meet face to face – we still have to have the “Scope of Appointment” details 48 hours “before” we meet. We can use voice mail, email or snail mail to make it happen -and then follow up with a personal meeting after a couple days.

I knowRed Tape – but it is for the purpose of protecting your sensitive health information.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve!
